Château Haut Gravet Saint-Émilion Grand Cru 2009 Bordeaux

Château Haut Gravet Saint-Émilion Grand Cru 2009 Bordeaux, $33.99-$39.99, 90 points, appears a shade more purple than its black currant/elderberry Bordeaux cousins, and though it is a typical 13.5% alcohol rated red wine, it has more pronounced legs than many others with this rating (a clear rim is present).
The toasty blackberry pie aroma with a hint of vanilla and cinnamon is different and pleasant.
The medium body carries good acidity, persistent, but approachable tannin, flavors of tart pomegranate and flowers that dominate the flavor profile.
Finishes well with cherry-red-licorice, spice, and a hint of espresso.
Varietals include 70% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc, and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon.
