Trefethen Oak Knoll Napa Valley Family Vineyard 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon, $45.06-$57.99, 91 points, poured core black trending a beautiful purple/red up to the transparent ring at the glass wall.
Redolent is a descriptor of a rich fragrant wine, and the Trefethen Cab is just that: profuse cedar, black currant, and violets on the nose were lovely.
Medium-plus bodied with good acidity, layered moderate tannin, and strawberry, pomegranate, black currant fruit flavors lead to a long finish on the trailing palate with violets and a hint of the 14.1% alcohol.
