Tenuta Tignanello Marchese 2010 Antinori Chianti Classico Riserva

Tenuta Tignanello Marchese 2010 Antinori Chianti Classico Riserva, $27.99-$32.99, 91 points, presented me with a spectacular color array of deep crushed blackberries and a clear rim at the leggy glass wall.
Profuse violets on the nose settled down a bit with air, but remained almost perfume-like; olives, earth, black cherry, and cedar were aromatic.
Near full-bodied with bright acidity and comfortable supportive tannin carried flavors reflective of the aromas with an underlayment of plum, savory, and dry green cooking herbs.
Finished long on the trailing palate with an escalating red pepper, spice, and a well integrated 14% alcohol.
Paired perfectly with Debbie's lasagna.

  1. That's a good price for that wine, and, along with his Badia a Passignano Riserva, the only good CCR he makes anymore. Nice note D, and in the 2010 vintage, could be one to buy a few of. They'll last and drink well for some time.
