Joel Gott 2012 Pinot Noir

Joel Gott 2012 Pinot Noir, $15.19-$21.99, 89 points, appeared ruby trending pomegranate red with a clear rim.
Interesting aromas of bourbon, clove, mulberry, black cherry with a floral component were good.
Mouth-watering acidity spearheaded this medium-plus bodied PN; Mild tannin added to the sleek texture.
Flavors were a bit heavy, but black licorice was a standout, black fruit rich, and the 14.4% alcohol was noticeable.
Finished long on a sweet cherry note, spearmint, and pepper spices.
