Cameron Hughes Lake County 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon

Cameron Hughes Lake County 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon, $11.19-$15.99, 87 points, poured a dense crushed black currant color with a broad transparent rim and some "sheeting".
The profuse aroma consisted of cassis, mint, leather, and a hint of violets (better later than earlier).
Full-bodied with good acidity, noticeable, but certainly a modern expression of drinkability, as well as reflecting the flavors of the aroma with a robust coffee-grind componet.
Finished fair on the 14.1% alcohol, pomegranate notes, and a tapered palate.
Cameron Hughes Lake County 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon was extra-dry.
Last I checked CT scored this red wine an average of 82.1, but that seems rather low to me.
