Ridge Estate 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon

Ridge Estate 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon,
$38.39 (bought two years ago), $52.99 (now), 92 points, poured core black grading burgundy purple/red toward the clear wine ring.
Aromatic sandalwood and black currant were good.
Medium-plus bodied with good acidity and layered supportive tannins carried straight-forward flavors of black currant, plum, and cola notes.
Finished long on warm spices, a hint of pomegranate, and a European-styled 13% alcohol.
Bordeaux-styled varietals were 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Merlot, 3% Petit Verdot, and 1% Cabernet Franc.
Paired perfectly with our loaded pizza.

Ridge, why it's a "go to" winery.
