Achaval Ferrer Mendoza 2014 Malbec (Argentina)

Achaval Ferrer Mendoza 2014 Malbec, $16.14-$22.99, 90 points, poured core black shading a deep purple/red at the clear wine ring and glass wall of moderate legs.
Aromatic earth, a hint of brine, cedar, and sandalwood were excellent.
More than medium-bodied, fair-plus acidity, and round supportive tannin carried a balanced flavor profile marked by mulberry, oak, coffee, and a hint of plum.
Finished long on an accelerating white pepper, trailing palate, and an appropriate 14% alcohol.
I liked this wine better after breathing for a couple of hours.
Paired fine with our pepperoni pizza.
