Marchesi di Barolo 2014 Gavi (DOCG)

Marchesi di Barolo 2014 Gavi (DOCG), $12.74-$18.99, 85 points, poured a light brass color grading clear toward the glass shallows.
Almost nothing on the nose except a hint of honeydew melon.
Light-bodied, crisp, appropriately acidic, and a refreshingly fruity though a rather nondescript white wine (just a hint of ginger, a floral note, and melon rind).
Finished okay on the trailing near-non palate and an accommodating 12% alcohol.
Paired okay with my Ipswich fried clams.
