Ramey Hyde Vineyard Napa Valley (Carneros) 2013 Chardonnay

Ramey Hyde Vineyard Napa Valley (Carneros) 2013 Chardonnay, $53.54-$62.99, 92 points, poured a beautiful brass color clearing at the glass edge.
Aromas of lemon meringue pie and oak notes with a whiff of neutral grape were good.
Medium bodied with good acidity displayed a complex and sophisticated array of intertwined lemon/lime, oak, apple, kiwi, pear, and ginger ale flavors.
Finished long on tart citrus, the trailing palate (especially the 'ginger ale'), and a potent 14.5% alcohol.
Paired perfectly with our garlic herb rotisserie chicken.
I’m dubious at the notion this excellent Cali-typical Chardonnay will convert those of ill affections for the breed, and the price will only add to those negative feelings, but I believe appreciation will follow the Chardonnay aficionado.
