Concha y Toro Don Melchor Vineyard 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon (Puente Alto, Chile)

Concha y Toro Don Melchor Vineyard 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon (Puente Alto, Chile), current prices are $79,99-$82.99, 92 points, poured core black radiating purple/red to garnet red toward the clear wine ring and stained glass legs.
Aromatic violets and a cedar potpourri with cocoa and black currant were outstanding.
Full-throttled body with good acidity was reminiscent of the Caymus Select, though the tough tannins were toned down, trending fine, still supportive, and a bit wooly.
Flavors of truffles, licorice, plum, dried cooking herbs, and boysenberry tended toward a complexity.
Finished long and spicy with mint and iron notes.
The 14.5% alcohol was well-integrated.
One of the best South American Cabernet Sauvignon wines I've tasted.
I've been saving this wine for eight years, and my sense is that this wine had several more years left in it.
