Sierra Cantabria Rioja 2016 Rosé (D.O. D.O.Ca.)

I'll relinquish the Cabernets today (I'm on a mission),
it's a Rosé and roses
for the finer female frame,
because today is día de la Madre!

Sierra Cantabria Rioja 2016 Rosé (D.O. D.O.Ca.), $6.79-$12.99, 88 points, was a deep salmon color.
Aromas were subdued strawberry, watermelon, and a perfumed floral vibe, all of which translated well onto the palate.
This was a dry, slightly heavier-bodied than light, appropriately acidic Rosé wine.
Finished long on the matrix of a tad overdone 13.5% alcohol with a spirited white pepper, ginger, kiwi, and watermelon rind.
Varietals were Viura, Garnacha, and Tempranillo.
Paired well with my favorite Mexican cuisine.
